Seeks to bring restoration for prisoners through reconciliation that leads to rejuvenation.
Welcome to the R3 Pathway.
Building on the ‘In Good Faith’ collaboration of priests and rabbis instituted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Chief Rabbi in 2018, the R3 Pathway proposes a prison rehabilitation pathway allowing prison leavers to be redeemed and restored.
The pathway seeks to bring restoration for prisoners through reconciliation that leads to rejuvenation as well as engage in decreasing reoffending that specifically focusses on women and young offenders.
9% of the prison population are young offenders and 4% of the UK prison population are women.
Women have the highest reoffending rate of 73% because they are amongst the most vulnerable often dealing with multiple challenges of addiction, prostitution, abuse and mental health issues.
